Commentary
Malachi's prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus entered the Temple and cleansed it. The word "suddenly" (pith'om) implies an unexpected, dramatic arrival. Jesus's cleansing of the Temple was a messianic act of judgment and purification, fulfilling Malachi's expectation.
