Psalm 2 promised the Messiah would receive the nations as his inheritance, fulfilled in the resurrection and the Great Commission.

"God has fulfilled this for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: "You are my son; today I have become your father.""
Commentary
Paul quotes Psalm 2:7 in his sermon at Antioch, applying it to the resurrection. The "today" of the Father-Son declaration is the resurrection day. The nations as inheritance is being fulfilled through the global spread of the gospel.
