Commentary
Psalm 110:1 is the most frequently quoted Old Testament verse in the New Testament. Jesus himself used it to stump the Pharisees (Matthew 22:44), and Peter quotes it at Pentecost to prove Jesus's resurrection and ascension. The "sitting at the right hand" indicates the completion of the atoning work.
